Released: 30th June 2026
Product: Sense Presence
Who it affects: Administrators, Operations teams and Facilities teams
Overview
This Sense Presence release introduces improvements across the Presence console, floor plans, floor plan builder and Presence admin tools.
The update adds more structured SOS alert handling, improves floor plan behaviour, and gives administrators better visibility of device firmware and device logs.
What’s new
SOS alert management
SOS alerts can now be acknowledged and marked as resolved from the Presence console.
When a user acknowledges or resolves an SOS alert, they are prompted to add a note. Sense stores the note along with details of the logged-in user who handled the alert.
What this means for you:
Teams can manage SOS alerts with a clearer audit trail, including who handled the alert and what note was recorded at each stage.
Floor plan improvements
This release includes several improvements to floor plan behaviour.
Fixes include:
Location presence indicators now retrieve profile pictures correctly.
Floor navigation has been improved for very tall buildings.
Floor plans without a root building location now behave more consistently.
What this means for you:
Floor plans are more reliable and easier to use, especially for larger buildings or more complex floor plan setups.
Floor Plan Builder improvements
Floor Plan Builder has also been improved.
A root building location is no longer required when creating a new floor plan in the builder. An issue where clearing the geometry of a floor plan did not work correctly has also been resolved.
What this means for you:
Creating and updating floor plans is more flexible, with fewer setup restrictions and improved editing behaviour.
Firmware management
Presence Admin now includes a firmware management page for Sense devices, including Gateways, Lanyards and Clocks.
Administrators can view firmware details such as the installed version and full version hash, as well as the status of the latest over-the-air firmware update.
Administrators can also trigger firmware updates for multiple devices of the same type at the same time.
What this means for you:
Device firmware is easier to review and manage, helping administrators monitor updates across Sense Presence devices more efficiently.
Device logs
A new device logs page is available in Presence Admin.
Administrators can view messages sent by a selected device, choose the time period to review, set how many messages are shown, and filter by message type.
What this means for you:
Device troubleshooting is easier, with clearer access to recent device messages and filtering options.
Additional platform improvements
This release also includes technical updates to support Sense Mobile and AMI functionality for Presence, lone worker and SOS alert features.
Summary
This Sense Presence release improves alert handling, floor plan behaviour and device administration.
SOS alerts can now be acknowledged and resolved with notes, floor plan and builder issues have been addressed, and administrators have new tools for reviewing firmware information and device logs.
