Overview

This Sense HR update includes small usability improvements and quality fixes across schedules, documents and reports.

The changes are designed to make key actions clearer, reduce validation issues, and improve the way filters and document options are displayed.


What’s new

Improved Add Schedule experience

The Add Schedule process has been improved to make effective dates clearer and prevent invalid date selections.

For existing employees, new schedules now default to today’s date. For future starters, schedules default to the employee’s start date.

Past dates can no longer be selected, helping prevent validation errors later in the process.

What this means for you:

Schedule setup is clearer, with fewer opportunities to select an invalid effective date.


Clearer documents landing page

The Documents area has been refined so users land in the most relevant tab based on their permissions.

Users without upload permissions now land on the Personal tab by default. Users with permission to upload company documents now land on the Company tab by default.

What this means for you:

The Documents area now feels more intuitive and better matched to what each user can do.


Clearer company document upload experience

The company document upload experience has been updated for clarity.

Upload document has been renamed to Upload company document, making it clearer what type of document is being uploaded.

The upload wizard has also been simplified with clearer guidance and improved descriptions. Users must now make an explicit choice when assigning documents, rather than relying on a pre-selected default option.

What this means for you:

Uploading company documents is clearer, with more deliberate assignment choices and less risk of sending documents to the wrong audience.


Fixes and reliability improvements

This release also includes the following fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where public holiday groups could not be removed once selected from the Entitlement settings page, including during initial planner setup.

  • Resolved styling issues on the Details and Access tabs when editing company documents.


Hot fix: Report column filters

A hot fix has also been released for report grid filters.

This resolves issues where active filters were not clearly indicated, some filter rules were not displayed correctly when reopened, and certain date filter values were not retained.

Report filtering was already working correctly, and report results were unaffected. This hot fix improves how filters are displayed, so active filters and filter rules are shown more consistently.
