Overview
Report sharing is now available in Sense HR.
Published reports can be shared with specific users or All Managers, without requiring recipients to have full access to the Reports area.
Recipients only see the data they already have permission to access. Draft reports remain private until they are published.
What’s new
Share published reports with the right people
Report creators and administrators can now share published reports with selected users or all managers.
Shared reports always open using the latest published version shared with the recipient. Draft changes are not visible until the report is published again.
What this means for you:
HR teams can distribute standardised reports more easily, while keeping control of what has been published and shared.
Existing data permissions still apply
Sharing a report does not give recipients unrestricted access to report data.
Each recipient only sees the data they already have permission to access. This means the same shared report may show different results for different people, depending on their access.
What this means for you:
Reports can be shared more widely without bypassing existing security or employee data permissions.
Shared reports can open in Report results or Analyse with AMI
For organisations using Analyse with AMI, shared reports can open directly in Report results or Analyse with AMI, depending on how the report has been shared.
Recipients can filter, sort and analyse shared report results, but they cannot change the report name, description, fields, filters, sharing settings or AMI prompt.
What this means for you:
Recipients can work with shared report results without changing the original report setup.
Simpler reporting experience
The reporting experience has also been refined to reduce clicks and simplify common actions.
Improvements include:
Create Chart now opens as an in-context dialog.
Charts and Analyse with AMI now work with filtered results without needing to save report changes first.
Long-running actions, including exports and AMI analysis, now provide clearer progress and completion feedback.
Report actions, quick actions and report naming have been streamlined.
What this means for you:
Reporting is faster, clearer and easier to work with day to day.
Improved AMI access guidance
AMI actions are now handled more consistently across the platform.
Where users can see an AMI action but do not have AMI product access, the action remains visible but disabled, with clearer guidance on how to request access.
Guidance has also been improved for cases where browser pop-up blockers prevent AMI from opening an analysis window.
What this means for you:
Users get clearer feedback when AMI access or browser settings affect what they can do.

Recipients can view, filter, sort and analyse shared reports, but they only see data they already have permission to access and cannot change the original report definition.
