Sense HR v6.3.1.0: Time Off and Company Calendar improvements

Released: 30th July 2026 · More flexible Time Off configuration, clearer time durations and improvements to the Company Calendar.

Released: 30th July 2026

Product: Sense HR

Who it affects: Administrators, Managers and Employees

Available on: All plans

Overview

Sense HR v6.3.1.0 introduces a series of improvements to Time Off and the Company Calendar.

Administrators have more flexibility when configuring entitlements and booking rules, time durations are easier to understand, and improvements to the Company Calendar provide a clearer view of workforce activity.

What’s new

Correct entitlement measurement without contacting Support

Administrators can now change whether an entitlement is measured in Days or Hours, even if bookings have already been created against it.

If existing bookings are affected by the change, Sense HR warns the administrator before the change is saved and flags the affected bookings for review.

This uses the same review process already used when working schedule changes affect existing bookings.

What this means for you:

Entitlement configuration mistakes can be corrected directly in Sense HR without raising a Support request, while affected bookings are identified so they can be reviewed.

More flexible partial-day booking rules

For Time Off events linked to an entitlement, administrators can now control whether partial-day bookings are allowed.

Where partial-day booking is enabled, the minimum booking unit can be set to:

  • Quarter Day

  • Half Day

When Quarter Day is configured, users can make quarter-day and three-quarter-day bookings as well as half-day bookings.

Quarter-day booking options

What this means for you:

Time Off booking rules can more closely reflect your organisation’s leave policy, including organisations that allow employees to take leave in quarter-day increments.

Easier-to-read time durations

Time durations are now displayed in a familiar hours and minutes (h:mm) format instead of decimal values across Sense HR.

This applies when reviewing time information in areas such as attendance, bookings and reports.

What this means for you:

Time information is easier to understand at a glance, without needing to convert decimal values into hours and minutes.

Clearer Company Calendar event grouping

Event grouping has been restored in the Company Calendar.

Bookings for the same event type on the same day are grouped into a single Calendar entry. Selecting the event shows the employees included and their individual booking details.

Personal Planner continues to show an individual employee’s own booking as a continuous event.

What this means for you:

Busy Company Calendars are less cluttered, while users can still open a grouped event to see who is included and review individual booking details.

Security and reliability improvements

This release also includes security improvements and maintenance updates identified through our ongoing security review process.

These updates continue to strengthen the security and resilience of Sense HR.

Summary

Sense HR v6.3.1.0 gives organisations more flexibility when managing Time Off and improves everyday usability across Sense HR.

Administrators can correct entitlement measurement settings without Support intervention, configure quarter- or half-day minimum booking units, and users benefit from clearer time-duration displays and improved event grouping in the Company Calendar.
