Verify Attendance Workflow

Allows managers to review and verify manually entered employee attendance for a specific day.

Updated over a month ago

Who it’s for: Administrators

Platform: Web app (Sense HR & Automate)

Available on: Elite and above

Introduction

The Verify Attendance workflow is designed for employees who manually record their working hours using the Planner or the mobile app, typically by entering all hours worked at the end of the day.

This workflow enables managers to review those entries and confirm that the information is correct by marking the attendance record as verified.

This workflow is not recommended for employees who clock in and out in real time.

This information is fully reportable.

How it works

  1. The employee logs their attendance using the Planner or the mobile app.

  2. A new attendance record is created on the employee’s profile in the Attendance Log screen.

  3. The manager receives an email notification and a to-do item linked to the new attendance record.

  4. The manager opens the record, reviews the submitted information, and marks the attendance as verified.

  5. Attendance Log screen data can be reported on to identify verified and unverified attendance records.

How to get this Workflow

This workflow is available for organisations on the Elite and Enterprise tier. You can find it in the Workflow Hub.

When you deploy it, an Attendance Logs screen will be added to the Employee Profile template - unless one already exists with the exact same name.

If your organisation already has a screen with this name, a new one will not be created. You can either rename/delete your existing screen, or you may just need to update it slightly to match the below requirements in order for the workflow to function properly (see the list below).

Requirements

When a screen is automatically added during workflow deployment, all required fields, permissions, and best-practice recommendations are included by default.

This section only applies if you already have this screen or plan to customise the preloaded version. It outlines which elements must remain unchanged for the workflow to function correctly.
