Sense Tag: Assign a wearer to a Sense Tag

Assign wearers to their corresponding Sense Tags in the Sense Presence Hub.

Before you begin, make sure you have:

☑️ Created all wearers and Tags in your system

☑️ A list of device IDs supplied by Sense Workplace

💡 Tip: Each tag has an ID number printed below its QR code.


Overview

To enable Sense Presence and automatic time tracking, each wearer must be assigned to a Tag.

Assignments are managed through the Device Management area in the Sense Presence Hub.


Assign a wearer

1. Find the Device ID printed beneath the Tag’s QR code.

2. In the Sense Presence Hub, open Device Management.

3. Search for the ID from Step 1 and select the device.

4. On the Device details page, click Device Wearer.

5. In the dialog box, select the wearer’s name and click Done.


💡 Tip: To quickly find a wearer, open the dropdown, then press Ctrl + F to search by name.

6. Click Device Name, enter the wearer’s name, and click Done to save.

✅ The Sense Tag is now assigned to its wearer and ready for Presence and Time & Attendance tracking.


FAQ

Q: What if I can’t find a wearer?

A: If you can’t find a wearer, you can add new wearers in the Sense HR Hub, then return to Device Management (Sense Presence Hub) to complete the assignment.


Q: How do I reassign a Sense Tag?

A: To reassign a Sense Tag, find the existing Tag in Device Management (Sense Presence Hub), open it, and repeat the same steps for assigning a wearer.


Q: How do I manage leavers’ Sense Tags?

A: To manage leavers’ Sense Tags, label each tag with the leaver’s name and the last four digits of the Device ID.

To prevent the Tag from appearing on Sense Presence screens, you can power off the Tag by holding the button for 7 seconds until the red light flashes.

To turn it back on, hold the button for 3 seconds until the red light flashes once.
