Erase an existing user from a Sense Badge to prepare it for a new wearer.

Before you begin, make sure you have:

☑️ The Sense Badge you need to reset

⚠️ Caution: Erasing removes all saved user data. Only perform this on devices being reassigned or replaced.


Overview

Erasing a Sense Badge deletes its existing user profile so it can be safely assigned to someone else.

The process takes less than three minutes and doesn’t require an admin console.


Steps to erase a user from Sense Badge

Power on/ hard restart your Sense Badge

1. Insert a pen tip (or similar) and gently press down on the button in the pin hole (where the blue dot is) and hold until screen flashes white.

2. The Badge will start up (showing a black screen for 30 to 60 seconds) and then display the Networking screen.


​3. Once connected, the Get Started screen will appear.


Erase the current user

1. Once connected, tap the top-right corner of the Badge screen 7 times to open the Settings menu.

2. Scroll down and tap Erase.

The Badge will silently remove all user data without showing a confirmation.

3. Scroll up and press Reset.


The Badge will power off and restart automatically.

4. Wait up to 60 seconds for the Networking screen to reappear, showing reconnection.

✅ The Badge is now cleared and ready to register a new wearer.

✅You can now follow Sense Badge: Log in for the first time to complete setup.


Troubleshooting

• If the Badge doesn’t restart, hold the power button for 5 seconds to force a reboot.

• If the screen stays blank for over a minute, connect the Badge to power and try again.

Q: How do I know if my Sense Badge has restarted successfully?

A: To check if your Sense Badge has restarted successfully, after restarting:

  • The Badge will show a white screen flash then a black screen (for 30 to 60 seconds) before turning back on.

  • It will then show the Networking screen.

✅ Once the Get Started screen appears, your Badge is ready to use again.


Q: What should I do if my Sense Badge won’t turn on?

A: If your Sense Badge won’t turn on, try these steps:

  1. Plug the Badge into its charger for at least 15 minutes.

  2. If it still won’t turn on, perform a hard restart using the pinhole method.

Q: What happens when I erase a Sense Badge?

A: When you erase a Sense Badge, all user data is deleted immediately (no confirmation is shown).

After the reset, the Badge restarts and shows the Networking screen.

Once it reconnects, it’s ready for a new wearer to log in.
