Sense Badge: Log in for the first time

Log in to your Sense Badge using your PIN and fingerprint to connect it to your Sense Workplace account

Before you begin, make sure you have:

☑️ A Sense Badge that’s been erased (see: Sense Badge: Erase a user from a Sense Badge)

☑️ Your 6-digit PIN code (provided by your Admin)

💡 Tip: Keep your Badge charged or plugged in before logging in.


Overview

Your Sense Badge connects you to the Sense Workplace platform. Logging in ensures your time, location, and task data sync with your profile.

Once connected, you can access your apps (like To-Do, Clocking, and Lone Worker) directly from your Badge.


Steps to log in for the first time

Power on your Sense Badge

  1. Insert a pen tip (or similar) and gently press down on the button in the pin hole (where the blue dot is) and hold until screen flashes white.

  2. The Badge will start up (showing a black screen for 30 to 60 seconds) and then display the Networking screen.

  3. Once connected, the Get Started screen will appear.


Log in as a new user

  1. Tap Get Started.

  2. Tap inside the PIN code field to open the keypad.

  3. Enter your 6-digit PIN – this will fetch your profile.

  4. You will be asked to scan your fingerprint. Place your finger on the fingerprint sensor located on the back of the Badge.

  5. Scan the same finger five times.


    ✅ The counter on-screen will show your progress.

  6. Once complete, the Badge will open the main app screen — you’re logged in and ready to use your device.

✅ Your Badge is now securely linked to your Sense Workplace account and ready to use.

✅ You can access apps and tasks directly from your Badge’s home screen.


Troubleshooting

If login doesn’t work:

1. Reset the Badge network connection.

  • Tap 7 times in the top-right corner.

  • Scroll down and press Reset.

  • Wait for the Badge to reboot.

2. Try your PIN on another Badge.

  • If it works there, your original Badge may be faulty.

3. Try another user’s PIN on your Badge.

  • If their login works, your user profile may need to be reissued.

FAQ

Q: How do I restart my Sense Badge?

A: You can restart your Sense Badge in two ways:

1. From the app menu: Tap Restart app > Restart.

2. Hard restart: Insert a paperclip, pen tip, SIM ejector pin, or universal reset pin tool into the reset pinhole and hold for 7 seconds until the screen flashes white.

🖊️ Note: Restarting your Badge refreshes its connection without deleting data.



Q: Why can’t I log into my Sense Badge?

A: If you can’t log into your Sense Badge, it’s usually due to one of the following:

  • The Badge hasn’t finished connecting to the network (wait until the Networking screen completes).

  • Your PIN or fingerprint hasn’t been registered in Sense Workplace yet.

  • The Badge still contains another user’s data.

💡 To fix:

  1. Check that the Badge has reached the Get Started screen.

  2. If not, restart it (tap seven times > Reset).

  3. If the problem continues, erase the user and start again.

  4. If login still fails, contact [email protected].
