The Clock In/Out feature in the mobile app allows you to manage your working hours wherever you are. With just a few taps, you can clock in or out directly from your phone, view your current clock status, and see your most recent clock time. It’s a convenient way to stay on top of your timekeeping while on the move.

You can configure if employees should be clocking in manually by pressing clock in or clock out, or by scanning a QR code to prove that they are in the building when doing so.

You will be prompted to review the default configuration values before deploying the workflow.

Log in to the app and arrive at the mobile dashboard.

Tap the ‘Clock In/Out’ tile.

View your most recent clock activity, and choose to clock In or Out.

Once you tap Clock In or Clock Out, you will get a confirmation on the screen like the image below.

A: You’ll see this message if the scanner detects a QR code that is not a valid Sense clock-in QR code.

The scanner automatically reads QR codes as soon as they come into range of your phone’s camera. This means it may detect the small QR code printed on the clock itself, or another QR code nearby, instead of the clock-in QR code displayed on the clock screen.

Go back and try again, making sure your camera is pointing directly at the clock-in QR code displayed on the screen when you open the scanner.

A: When using QR clocking, the scanner automatically detects and reads a QR code as soon as it comes into range of your phone’s camera. You do not need to tap it to scan.

This means your clock in or clock out may be recorded before you can clearly see the QR code on the camera screen.

Once the QR code has been successfully detected, the app will confirm that you have clocked in or out.
