Overview
Sense Mobile v1.1.449 is now available in app stores.
This release introduces a new NFC scanner capability alongside improvements to tiles, checklists, dropdowns and Expenses. It also includes several fixes for the camera and Calendar experience.
What’s new
New NFC scanner
A new NFC scanner widget is now available for mobile apps.
This allows supported mobile experiences to use a phone to scan an NFC card or tag and assign it to a person — useful for tasks such as setting up an employee with a clock-in card during onboarding.
What this means for you:
NFC cards and tags can be assigned using a compatible mobile device, making processes such as employee clock-in setup easier to complete on the go.
More flexible mobile tiles
Text displayed on mobile app tiles can now use bold and colour styling.
The entire tile remains tappable, while important text can be made more prominent.

Mobile experiences can provide clearer visual emphasis and make important options easier to identify.
Larger checklists
Checklist questions using multi-select now support up to 30 options, increased from the previous limit of 16.

Mobile forms and processes can support more detailed checklists without needing to split choices across multiple questions.
Dropdowns now start empty
Dropdown fields without a previously saved answer now appear blank rather than automatically selecting the first available option.
What this means for you:
Users make an intentional choice when completing a dropdown, reducing the risk of an option being submitted simply because it was selected by default.
Improved expense matching
Expense entries can now include an expense ID, improving how expense records can be matched and processed.

Expense information can be identified and processed more reliably across connected expense processes.
Fixes and reliability improvements
This release also includes several mobile app fixes:
Camera preview restored — the camera widget once again shows a live preview before a photo is captured.
Calendar crash fixed — selecting a greyed-out date from the following month no longer causes the app to crash.
Calendar retains pre-filled dates — a pre-filled date no longer changes back to today when the field is opened. Today is only used as the default when the field is blank.
Clearer Today indicator — the Calendar Today indicator has been refined so it displays more clearly alongside selected dates and event indicators.
