Product: Sense Automate / Sense HR
Who it affects: Administrators and HR teams
Available on: Elite and Enterprise plans
Overview
The Late & Missed Clocks Notification workflow now includes additional configuration options for choosing which employees it applies to.
The workflow alerts employees and their managers when expected clock-in or clock-out entries are missed. Administrators can now define the population that should be checked, helping ensure notifications are only generated for the relevant employees.
What’s new
Choose who the workflow applies to
Administrators can now use the Identifier configuration to control which employees are included in the Late & Missed Clocks workflow.
Choose from:
Everyone — apply the workflow to everyone who would normally be included.
Time & Attendance Id — apply the workflow to employees with a Time & Attendance Id in their Sense HR Employment Details screen, skipping anyone without one.
Custom — target employees using one or more Locations, Departments or Job roles.
When Custom is selected, use Custom Identifier to enter the relevant values. You can use any combination of the available attributes; you do not need to specify all three.

What this means for you:
You can apply Late & Missed Clocks to everyone, limit it to employees set up for Time & Attendance, or target specific parts of your workforce.
About Late & Missed Clocks
The Late & Missed Clocks Notification workflow checks expected clock activity against employee work schedules.
It can notify employees and their managers when a clock-in is missed and remind employees when an expected clock-out cannot be found. Existing configuration options also let administrators control areas such as grace periods and whether late events should be added to the employee’s Planner.

Summary
The Late & Missed Clocks workflow can now be targeted using Time & Attendance or Custom configuration.
This gives administrators greater control over which employees are included while keeping the existing late and missed clock notification process unchanged.
