Overview
Having all your workforce insights in one place makes it easy to view key HR information at a glance, identify trends, and make informed decisions – saving you time and supporting effective management.
This article guides administrators through accessing the Insights feature and explains the key information it provides and how each insight can support HR management.

Steps to find insights
1. Go to the administrator Dashboard
2. In the top menu, change the view from Overview to Insights.
Understanding Insights
Staff Turnover
Displays staff turnover percentage (number of leavers/average number of employees) along with the total number of starters and leavers for 3, 6, 9, or 12 months. This helps HR managers track workforce stability, identify turnover trends, and understand what’s driving employee changes.
Headcount / FTE
Shows total headcount and full-time equivalent (FTE) values, converting part-time roles into full-time equivalents. Helps HR managers understand workforce size, capacity, and workload distribution.
- If headcount is much higher than FTE, you have more part-time staff.
- If headcount and FTE are close, most staff are working full-time hours.
Single-Day Absence
Displays the percentage of one-day absences within a selected period (3, 6, 9, or 12 months). Helps HR track short-term absences, identify patterns, and address potential issues early.
Outstanding Holidays
Shows outstanding holidays as a company-wide percentage, along with the total number of days left to book before the end of the holiday year. Helps managers and employees plan time off, ensure leave is taken, and manage carry-over where applicable.
Average Length of Service
Shows a bar chart of employees by years of service, plus the average years of service across the company. Useful for monitoring retention, recognising loyalty, and identifying potential turnover risks.
Department Breakdown
Shows the number of employees in each department. Dropdown options also display breakdowns by location, employment type, and subcompany for deeper workforce insights.
Age Group Breakdown
Displays the distribution of employees across age groups. Dropdown options include a gender group breakdown, helping HR understand workforce demographics.
Nationality Breakdown
Shows the nationalities represented within the organisation. Helps HR monitor diversity and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
