Overview
The Indeed integration connects your ATS organisation to Indeed.
Once enabled, eligible vacancies can be published directly to Indeed and applications submitted through Indeed Apply are automatically received back into ATS.
The integration allows ATS to:
publish eligible vacancies to Indeed
update published vacancies automatically
remove vacancies from Indeed when they are closed or become ineligible
receive applications submitted through Indeed Apply
automatically attach CVs and cover letters (where provided)
record application screening answers
identify applications received through Indeed.
🖊️ Note: Enabling the Indeed integration for your organisation does not automatically publish vacancies. Individual vacancies must still meet the Indeed publishing requirements and have Sync with Indeed enabled.
Navigation path
ATS > Settings > Indeed Integration
Obtain your Source name
Before enabling the integration, you must obtain your organisation’s unique Source name from Indeed.
Contact your Indeed Customer Success representative.
Request your organisation’s unique Source name.
Keep this value ready before configuring the integration in ATS.
🖊️ Note: The Source name uniquely identifies your organisation on Indeed. It corresponds to Indeed’s sourceName identifier.
If your organisation already publishes vacancies to Indeed through another source, use the same Source name when setting up Indeed in Sense ATS. Do not request or enter a different Source name.
⚠️ Warning: Once configured, the Source name should not be changed. If it ever needs to be updated, contact Sense Workplace Support and your Indeed Customer Success representative.
Set up the Indeed integration
Go to ATS > Settings > Indeed Integration.
Tick Enable Indeed integration.
Enter your Source name.
Enter the organisation’s recruitment contact email address.
Enter the organisation’s recruitment contact phone number.
Click Save.
🖊️ Note: All fields are required before the integration can be enabled.
✅ The Indeed integration is now set up for your organisation.
Enable the Indeed integration for your organisation.
What happens after setup
Once the organisation-level integration has been enabled:
the Sync with Indeed option becomes available for eligible vacancies
recruiters can choose whether individual vacancies should be published to Indeed
applications submitted through Indeed Apply are received automatically in ATS
applications are identified as having originated from Indeed.
Vacancy Details showing the Sync with Indeed option and required fields.
💡 Tip: The Sync with Indeed option is configured separately for each vacancy. Enabling the organisation integration does not automatically publish every vacancy.
👉 See ATS: Publish vacancies to Indeed.
Turn off the Indeed integration
If your organisation no longer wants to publish vacancies to Indeed:
Go to ATS > Settings > Indeed Integration.
Clear Enable Indeed integration.
Click Save.
ATS stops publishing vacancies to Indeed.
⚠️ Warning: Disabling the organisation-level Indeed integration removes all of your organisation’s vacancies from Indeed.
Best practice
Obtain the Source name directly from Indeed before enabling the integration.
Use a shared recruitment email address rather than an individual’s email address.
Keep the recruitment contact phone number up to date.
Do not change the Source name after it has been configured.
Test the integration with a single vacancy before enabling Indeed for all live vacancies.
Make sure recruiters understand that each vacancy must still be configured for Indeed publishing.

The integration is configured once per organisation.
A unique Source name supplied by Indeed is required.
Contact email and Contact phone are required.
