Planner: Switching event entitlements between days and hours (Admin)

How to change an event entitlement unit of measure from days to hours or hours to days

Before you begin, make sure you’ve:

☑️ Logged into Sense HR

☑️ Been assigned administrator permissions

☑️ Assigned relevant entitlements to the employee within the system


Overview

Administrators can decide whether event entitlements are measured in days or hours. This guide walks you through updating the unit of measure to suit your organisation’s needs.


Navigation path

Dashboard > People > [select profile] > Planner > Planner settings > Event entitlements

Steps to switch event entitlements between days and hours

Navigate to Event entitlements

1. Open the People list from the left-hand navigation menu.

2. Select the user profile you want to update.

3. Click Planner from the left-hand menu.

4. Click Settings in the upper right

5. Scroll down to Event entitlements

🖊️ Note: If Event entitlements aren’t visible, ensure the employee has entitlements such as Holiday, TOIL, or Birthday Leave assigned.


Select the unit of measure

1. Under Event entitlements, use the radial menu to choose whether each entitlement is measured in hours or days.


Save changes to the unit of measure

1. Click Next.

2. Confirm the Effective date and (optional) Reason for change.

3. Click Save to apply the changes
