Anviz FacePass – Face ID Registration

This guide will detail the registration process for Face ID registration on the Anviz FacePass devices.

With the device plugged in and powered on:

  1. Press the Settings Cog

  1. Enter the admin username and password

Note: Please reach out to our support team if you are unsure of these credentials

  1. Select Users

  1. Select Search

  1. You can either search the user’s clock ID, or scroll through the names on the clock to find the user in question

  1. Select the User in question

  1. This will take you to that user’s information screen

  1. On the information screen, select the Register Face

  1. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the registration process.

  1. Once the face scan is registered, press Back repeatedly to reset the clock to the original screen

  1. The user should then test scan their face to ensure it is successful.

  1. Once you are happy that the Face template is registered and tested, the template can be deployed to your other devices.

CrossChex – Face Template Download and Distribution

In CrossChex:

  1. Check the box for device that the user’s fingerprints were registered on, no other devices should be selected

  1. Select the user from the user list

  1. Select download template, this downloads the fingerprint data and saves it in CrossChex

Note: The Face column should now have a green box, indicating where Face template data is present.

  1. Once downloaded, select the user again

  1. Select Set Privilege and check the box for each device the user should have access to

  1. Select OK to begin the distribution to the other device(s)

From here, the registration and distribution process is complete. It is recommended that users test their Face template on other devices to ensure their face allows them to gain access to the clock devices.

Users who repeatedly struggle to register or use the devices can be provided with a clock or fob card.
